Historical Commission

The Historical Commission is currently involved in the following efforts to preserve the proud history of our one hundred and sixty eight year old community:

  • Edison House Preservation Project
  • “Remembrances" Book Project
  • Historical Museum Records and Archive Project

The Museum is in need to fill its archives with old antiques, pictures, etc. If you are interested in donating items please call Gary Carey at 453-5851.

We are also looking for an interested people to join the Historical Commission as our committee positions open up. The time commitment needed is approximately two to three hours a month, and could involve night and weekend volunteer work. If you are interested in this rewarding experience, please fill out an online application in the City Clerk’s section of the website.
