Position Description

Title:  Fire Fighter (Paid on Call)

Employment Status:  Non-Exempt

Reports to:  Fire Chief or Other Officer, As Appropriate

Positions Supervised:  None

Broad Statement of Responsibilities: Responds to and assists Fire Department in providing fire and rescue services to City of Walker.  Responds, as necessary, based on public safety incident calls.  (Position less than a full-time responsibility.)

Requirements to be eligible to apply to be a Walker Fire Department Paid on Call Firefighter.

  1. Must be a Resident of the City of Walker or live within 3 driving miles of a Walker Fire Station if outside the City of Walker.
  2. High School Graduate or GED.
  3. Valid Michigan Drivers license.
  4. No Criminal Record.
