Alcohol Assessment

Any person convicted for a drinking and driving offense must submit to an alcohol assessment as is mandated by law. This consists of the person completing a Substance Abuse Life Circumstance Evaluation, or SALCE questionnaire, filling out a two page Basic Information Sheet and being interviewed by a Probation Officer. The cost for this assessment is $100.00 and this money is returned back to the city in which the offense occurred. The assessment fee can be paid for after fines and costs have been paid. The assessment fees are payable via cash or money order at the Grandville court location.
