Commissioner Chuck Deschaine

Commissioner DeschaineCommissioner Deschaine was elected in 2003. He lives in and represents the 2nd Ward in the City. He is employed as a Operations manager for Frost ET in Walker. With him, he brings business experience and knowledge from his active involvement in the community.

He is married to Roxanne and has two children, Abbey and Ava. He enjoys spending time with his family, sailing and playing golf. In addition, he currently serves the Community in the following areas.

  • City of Walker Building Committee
  • City of Walker Zoning Board of Appeals
  • City of Walker Building Code of Appeals
  • City of Walker Finance Committee
  • Kent County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)

One of his main priorities is to ensure that our "Family Friendly Environment" is maintained and further enhanced as the community continues to grow. Fiscal responsibility is also a priority, while ensuring that the safety, security and the city services are not jeopardized but enhanced. He is committed to insuring that community programs are encouraged for all the population segments of the community. He feels it’s important we closely manage and balanced residential, commercial, industrial development along with protecting our open green space and our quality of life in the City of Walker.
