Commissioner Cyndy Stek

Committed to the well being of the community, Cyndy has volunteered for various programs and agencies including the Walker Volunteer Community Service Committee. She currently is a "Friendly Visitor" of the elderly in her church community. Past experience includes volunteering for the Domestic Crisis Center, serving on the Grandville Christian School Board, serving as a care leader at church and has previously worked for Senior Neighbors.  Cyndy currently represents Ward 3.

A strong believer in citizen participation, her desire is to reach out to residents and engage them in their City government.  There are many interesting committees to choose from that value citizen participation to enrich the community.

Currently, she sits on the Personnel Committee, Ordinance Committee, the Community Relations Committee, and the Walker Volunteer Community Services Committee.

Cyndy is married to Stanley J. Stek, and has six children. They are Shawn, Amy, Dustin, Derek and Brad.  Three are adults living on their own and three are at home.

Cyndy enjoys golfing, swimming, being involved in her children's activities, and getting together with friends. They are members of the First Reformed Church of Grandville.
