MEETING
CITY OF WALKER
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
Thursday, August 9, 2007
7:00 p.m.

The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order by Robert Marz, Chairman at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall 4243 Remembrance Rd., N.W., Walker, Michigan.

Members present: Robert Marz, Chairman; Brian Boelens, Alternate; Charles Deshaine; Tyler Korfhage; John Tuffelmire, Alternate; and James Hickey. Members absent: Roger Crabtree; Beth Rogers; and Randy Smith. Also present: Jeff Nelson, Building/Zoning Administrator and Bonnie Antcliff, Recording Secretary.

Property located at 3003 Walkent also known on the tax rolls as 41-13-03-412-02. Hearing requested by Priority Construction.

The applicant’s request is to build an addition to existing industrial building for West Michigan Shared Hospital Laundry with a 20 ft. front yard setback instead of the required 40 ft.

Robert Marz, Chairman explained to the applicant that there were only six members of the seven board members present tonight. That means that if you do not have a total of four votes the motion will not pass.

After some discussion, the applicant opted to wait until a full board was present.

Charles Deshaine moved and James Hickey supported the motion to table the applicant’s request until August 23, 2007 to build an addition to existing industrial building for West Michigan Shared Hospital Laundry with a 20 ft. front yard instead of the required 40 ft.

Motion carried 6 to 0.

James Hickey moved and Tyler Korfhage supported the motion to approve the Zoning Board of Appeals minutes of July 26, 2007.

Motion carried 6 to 0.

James Hickey moved and Charles Deshaine supported the motion to adjourn the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting at 7:20 p.m.

Motion carried 6 to 0.
