The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was
called to order by Robert Marz, Chairman at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 4243
Remembrance Rd., N.W., Walker, Michigan.
Members present: Robert Marz, Chairman; Roger
Crabtree; Charles Deshaine; Brian Boelens; Randy Smith; and James
Hickey. Member absent: Beth Rogers. Also present: Jeff Nelson, Building
Official and Bonnie Antcliff, Recording Secretary.

Legal Description
Property located at 2520 Kenowa, NW also known
on the tax rolls as 41-13-07-153-001 & 41-13-07-153-007. Hearing
requested by James Smith.
The applicant’s request is to build a 1,536
sq. ft. accessory building instead of the 1200 sq. ft. allowed.
Finding of Facts
Robert Marz, Chairman reviewed the application
and site plan submitted. No other citizen appeared with respect to this
request.
James Smith stated that he does farming on his
property and this accessory bulding will be used for storage. He has 12
acres near the site.
James Hickey stated that he was on the
property today and he felt there would be no problem with this request.
The building will not be seen from the road.
Roger Crabtree stated that he does not want
this property to get smaller or be subdivided.
James Hickey felt that this property could not
be divided easily. The way the property is layed out it could not happen
easily.

Jeff Nelson stated that the applicant would
have to come back to this Board if he wanted to split the property.

Charles Deschaine moved and Roger Crabtree
supported the motion to grant the applicant’s request to build a 1,536
sq. ft. accessory building instead of the 1200 sq. ft. allowed.

James Hickey moved and Randy Smith supported
the motion to approve the Zoning Board of Appeals minutes of June 11,
2009 with corrections.

supported the motion to adjourn the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting at
7:30 p.m.
Motion carried 6 to 0.
