 NEW HOME REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED RESIDENTIAL INSPECTIONS

Footing – Prior to any concrete being placed only required when reinforcement steel is installed.

Foundation – Drain tile, waterproofing, egress requirement.

Rough-in (structural framing) - After approval for electrical mechanical and plumbing.  Truss data for floor and or roof will be required to be placed in file.

Exterior envelope – Before any exterior covering is installed an inspection of the required house wrap is required to be completed.  All windows and doors shall be flashed to meet the manufacturer’s requirements.  Written installation instructions shall be provided by the fenestration manufacturer of each window or door.

Insulation – After all insulation is installed, drywall can be installed on ceiling if blown in insulation is being used.  Attic insulation will be checked on final.

Final – When all work is complete and electrical, mechanical and plumbing finals have been approved.  A certificate of occupancy will be issued if requested.
